Sleeping Knight

Sleeping Knight. This beautiful tomb is actually a memorial to Robert the Bruce, King of the Scots from 1306 to 1329. Below the figure is housed a fragment of bone taken from Robert the Bruce's tomb in Dunfermline Abbey. This image comes from the gorgeous Saint Conan's Kirk church, located high above Loch Awe in the Scottish highlands. It's a peaceful and tranquil place, full of history, in a stunning location.
