Abdinghofkirche, or Abdinghof Church, is located in the small city of Paderborn in the north east of Germany. The church has origins dating back to the time of Charlemagne, and was consecrated as a monastery in 1023. The building fell into ruins after invasion by the Prussian Army, who used the poor little church as a barracks. But the church was re-built and became the first protestant church in Paderborn in 1871.
